Preserving language, culture and traditions together
We unite Ukrainian families so that children can study, engage in creativity, develop their talents, find friends and feel part of a large Ukrainian community.
Mission of the School
The mission of St. Michael's Ukrainian School is to foster the Ukrainian language, culture, national identity, and spiritual values among the children of the Ukrainian community. It is important for us to raise a new generation that will honor its roots, have a deep knowledge of Ukraine, and actively contribute to the preservation of Ukrainian heritage abroad.
We strive to create a warm, safe and inspiring educational environment where every child is empowered:
◇ learn Ukrainian as a means of communication, cognition and self-expression;
◇ learn about the history, literature, song and folk art of the Ukrainian people;
◇ participate in traditional holidays and social events;
◇ develop respect for themselves, their family, their culture and other nations.
Our school is an important link between the Ukrainian family, church, and community and serves to educate the children of the Ukrainian diaspora spiritually, morally, and patriotically.
